Hands-on sessions where we stop just talking about problems and start learning practical ways to solve them. We cover topics like mindfulness, gratitude, communication, and more.

A place where men express their thoughts and feelings without judgment, promoting open and honest conversations where you can speak your mind or just sit back and listen to others

Outdoor BBQ's

Participate in our social events like barbeques and community gatherings which help to strengthen bonds, foster friendships and act as a third space within the Bayswater Blokes community.

Darren Peterson

Darren Peterson is a Maylands local, founder of Take Charge Wellbeing, and board member of Maylands Rotary.

He works with people and organisations to build better mental health using practical, no nonsense tools that fit real life. Darren is passionate about creating spaces where men can talk honestly, connect with others, and look after their wellbeing without pressure or judgement.

Bayswater Blokes was born from that passion  a simple, community led ecosystem of BBQs, men’s circles, and workshops that give blokes a place to show up, be heard, and support one another.

Lachlan Hall

Lachlan is a local to the city of Bayswater, working multiple roles within the local government, while working as a Support Coordinator and Mental Health Practitioner within other organizations.

He is currently studying a post-graduate in case-management and mental health, and a specific interest relational work, men's mental health and community engagement. Coming from working in the fitness industry, Lachlan recognized a need for support and action beyond physical exercise.

 

He is set on finding ways to provide value to others and the importance on striving to grow and seek genuine experience and connection.

David Dyke

David Dyke is a passionate environmental advocate and men's health ambassador. David has been apart of Men's work and community mental health initiatives for over 40 years. David has also been an active member of the Bardon Park Malgamongup Friends Group, where he has played a key role in restoring wetlands in the City of Bayswater.


A prostate cancer survivor, David uses his personal journey to inspire and educate others on the importance of early detection and regular health checks. His short film, David Dyke Prostate Journey: From Diagnosis to Rehabilitation, breaking down the stigma surrounding men's health and offering hope to those facing similar battles.
